Amy has vivid dreams, and compared to her mundane day to day life, she prefers being in her dream state over reality. When she starts trying to chase that feeling of being asleep, she struggles to stay awake during the day, resulting in her hurting herself at work and school. When the people around her start to worry she is in danger of hurting herself, she is sent to a DAA meeting (Dream Addicts Anonymous), but the lines between reality and dream are too far blurred for her to get help.
